Lifer Mher Yenokyan Released on Parole

According to ArmLur.am, lifer Mher Yenokyan, who has spent 29 years in captivity, has been released on parole.

It is noted that Mher Yenokyan was charged with the murder of his classmate, Yosif Aghajanyan. According to the verdict, the crime was committed by Yenokyan along with his friend, Aram Harutyunyan, a student at the agricultural institute, at the latter's home.

In 2003, when the death penalty was abolished in Armenia, Mher Yenokyan was sentenced to life imprisonment.
