The work on coordinating draft agreements between Russia and Ukraine is a preparation for a possible meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President.

“It is inappropriate to plan this possible meeting without significant preliminary work,” he said.

Peskov also noted that during the negotiations in Istanbul, questions related mainly to the draft agreements between Russia and Ukraine would be discussed. The continuation of the exchange of prisoners and the bodies of the deceased will also be addressed during the negotiations.
