Violations at 'Hamo K'at' Company Production Facility; Operations Suspended

Inspectors from the Armenian Food Safety Inspectorate's Lori Regional Center have conducted oversight measures at the dairy production facility of 'Hamo K'at' LLC, located in Alaverdi, Lori Province, and uncovered significant sanitary and hygienic violations. It was found that:

• Unused items for food production were being stored in the production building;
• The floor surfaces were uneven, and the tiles were broken, making it difficult to wash, clean, and disinfect;
• The walls of the brine room for cheese were not made of waterproof, disinfectable, and washable materials;
• The ceiling of the facility was insecure, failing to prevent the accumulation of dirt, mold growth, and the potential for particles to fall;
• Open internal windows lacked easily removable and cleanable insect protection grids;
• The structure and layout of the facility did not ensure protection against intrusion by animals, including rodents and insects.

The production activities of the dairy facility have been suspended, and measures have been ordered to eliminate the violations and non-compliance, with a deadline set.
