Poll: What is the Rating of Pashinyan, Kocharian and Others According to IRI
The political rating of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is 13%, according to the results of a survey conducted by the International Republican Institute (IRI) from June 16 to 25. Pashinyan’s rating has decreased by another three points compared to the previous survey, where 16% of Armenians expressed trust in him for the year 2024. He continues to be the highest-rated political figure.
The second place is held by Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan with 5%, followed by former President Robert Kocharian with 4%. The survey indicates that 49% of the population believes Armenia is moving in the wrong direction, while 36% feel that the country’s development is headed in the right direction. The rating of the ruling ‘Civil Contract’ party has also declined. If elections were to be held next Sunday, only 17% of voters would vote for the CP, down from 20% in September.
The ‘Armenia’ alliance is second on this list with 4%, while an additional 2% of respondents only mentioned Kocharian’s name. A significant 61% of respondents stated that they do not trust any political figure, and 28% indicated they would not participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The most authoritative institution in Armenia remains the Armed Forces, with 72% of respondents expressing full or partial trust. The Armenian Apostolic Church is in second place with 58%, having seen a 10% increase in its rating compared to the previous survey.
