Israel on the US Decision to Withdraw from UNESCO

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar has issued a statement on the X social network, praising the US administration for its decision to withdraw from UNESCO.

"This is a necessary step aimed at ensuring justice and safeguarding Israel's right to fair treatment within the UN system, a right that has often been violated due to the politicization of this domain. Both UNESCO and all professional institutions within the UN must put an end to Israel's isolation and the politicization by member states. Israel thanks the United States for its moral support and leadership, especially in a multilateral arena that suffers from discrimination against Israel. The UN is in need of fundamental reforms to remain relevant," he wrote.
