Extreme Heat Expected: Weather Forecast in Armenia

In the territory of the Republic of Armenia, on July 22nd, after noon, intermittent rain and thunderstorms are expected in some regions. Hail is also possible on the 25th and 26th. From July 23rd to 24th, dry weather is anticipated. This information was provided by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Wind gusts of 17-20 m/s are expected. In the evenings between July 22nd and 26th, in Armavir, Kotayk, and the pre-mountainous areas of Aragatsotn, wind gusts will reach 15-18 m/s. The temperature will gradually rise by 2-4 degrees on July 22nd.

In Yerevan from July 22nd to 26th, dry weather is forecasted. During the evenings and thunderstorms, wind gusts are expected at a speed of 15-18 m/s. It is reported that due to the influx of tropical warm air from the south, a high thermal background is expected in the Ararat Valley, Syunik's valley zone, and Yerevan, with temperatures reaching +38 to +40 degrees between 16:00 and 17:00.

In these areas, as well as in the pre-mountainous regions of Aragatsotn, Kotayk, and Vayots Dzor, a high degree of fire hazard is also expected over the next five days.
