Rainfall Resumes: Hail Possible

In the territory of the Republic of Armenia, on July 24 and 27, weather without precipitation is expected. On July 25 and 28, after noon, and on the night of the 26th, brief rain and thunderstorms are anticipated in some regions, with the possibility of hail.

This information is provided by the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia. It is noted that during thunderstorms, wind gusts are expected to reach 17-20 m/s.

In the evening hours, in Armavir, as well as in the foothills of Kotayk and Aragatsotn, wind intensity of 15-18 m/s is expected. The air temperature is not expected to change significantly.

In Yerevan, on July 24, and during the night of July 25, as well as on July 27-28, weather without precipitation is also expected. Brief rain and thunderstorms are possible in some parts of the city on the evening of July 25 and during the night and evening of the 26th. During thunderstorms and in the evening, wind gusts of 16-19 m/s are anticipated.

Due to the influx of tropical warm air from the south, a high thermal background is expected in the Ararat plain, the Syunik valley zone, and Yerevan, with daytime temperatures reaching +38 to +40 degrees Celsius between 16:00 and 17:00. High fire risk situations are also expected in these areas, as well as in the foothills of Aragatsotn, Kotayk, and Vayots Dzor.
