Ukraine Issues Arrest Warrant for Nikolai Baskov and Oleg Gazmanov

Russian people's artist Nikolai Baskov and Oleg Gazmanov have been placed on a wanted list in Ukraine. This information appeared in the database of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

According to the SBU, Baskov has been wanted since 2022. He is accused of encroaching on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine (Article 110, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). On February 25, 2022, Baskov posted on Instagram (part of Meta Corporation, recognized as extremist and banned in Russia), where he supported the start of Russian military operations in Ukraine, calling it 'the end of genocide and a prevention of attack on Russia.'

Gazmanov has been wanted since March 2022. Since 2015, the Russian singer and composer has been listed in the database of the Ukrainian extremist website 'Peacemaker.' He faces accusations of encroaching on the territorial integrity of the country, with detention chosen as a preventive measure against him.
