Temperatures in Armenia to Reach +40 Degrees

On July 21-22, the temperature in the territory of the Republic of Armenia is expected to rise significantly, and isolated showers and thunderstorms may occur in certain regions after noon. From July 23-24, dry weather is anticipated. This information is provided by the Armenian Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Center.

It is noted that during thunderstorms, wind gusts are expected to reach speeds of 17-20 m/s. From July 21-25, strong winds of 15-18 m/s are expected in the evenings specifically in Armavir, as well as in the foothills of Kotayk and Aragatsotn.

The air temperature is gradually expected to rise by 2-4 degrees on July 21-22. In Yerevan, short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible in certain areas of the city on the evening of July 21. From July 22-25, dry weather is forecasted.

Wind gusts of 15-18 m/s are expected during the evenings and thunderstorms in the capital. On July 21, the daytime temperature will range from 37 to 39 degrees, while in the evening, it will drop to +30...+32 degrees.

It is reported that due to the influx of tropical hot air from the south, a high-temperature background is expected in the Ararat Plain, in the Syunik valley region, and in Yerevan from July 21-25, with temperatures reaching +38 to +40 degrees between 16:00 and 17:00. These areas, as well as the foothills of Aragatsotn, Kotayk, and Vayots Dzor, are also expected to face high fire risk conditions in the coming five days.
