It’s Hard to Believe That They Are Preparing to Attack Ejmiatsin: Hayk Ignatyan on the Prime Minister's Statement

Hayk Ignatyan, the first deputy chairman of the Tashir companies group and a member of the Armenian Apostolic Church's Spiritual Council, wrote on Facebook:

“The acting Prime Minister of Armenia, adhering to the intention to implement his anti-national agenda, has announced plans to organize an attack against the Mother See and the Catholicos of All Armenians. It is difficult to find words to describe this phenomenon. It is also hard to believe that the attack on Ejmiatsin is being prepared not by Mongol-Tatars, Turkish-Seljuks, or Ottomans, but by our own compatriots, our fellow citizens.

If this threat becomes a reality, we, as Armenian Christians, all believers must become the defenders of our sanctities. Pashinyan leaves us no other choice. A heavy trial awaits Armenia, but I am confident that we will overcome it with united strength and faith,” wrote Hayk Ignatyan, the first deputy chairman of the Tashir companies group and a member of the Armenian Apostolic Church's Spiritual Council.
