Rain and Thunderstorms Expected: Weather in Armenia

On July 19 and 20, as well as during the night and afternoon of July 21-22, brief rain and thunderstorms are expected in various regions of the Republic, with heavy rainfall possible in certain areas on July 19-20, along with the chance of hail. On July 23, dry weather is forecasted.

This information is provided by the Hydrometeorological and Monitoring Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.

It is noted that during thunderstorms, wind gusts are expected to reach speeds of 17-20 m/s. From July 19 to 23, in the evening hours, wind gusts of 15-18 m/s are anticipated in Armavir, as well as in the foothills of Kotayk and Aragatsotn.

The air temperature is expected to rise by 2-4 degrees from July 21-23. In Yerevan, rainless weather is expected from July 21-23. In the evening and during thunderstorms, wind gusts of 15-18 m/s are predicted. On the evening of July 20, brief rain and thunderstorms may occur in certain parts of the city.

It is reported that due to the influx of warm tropical air from the south, a high thermal background is expected in the Ararat Valley, Syunik valley region, and Yerevan from July 21-23, with daytime temperatures ranging from +38 to +40 degrees Celsius between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Additionally, a high fire hazard situation is anticipated in these areas over the next five days.
