Summer Draft Deadline in Armenia Planned to be Extended to August 15, 2025

It is planned to extend the deadline for the summer draft in 2025 until August 15, inclusive. The relevant draft has been published on the unified website for legal acts.

The mandatory military and alternative service summer draft for male citizens of the Republic of Armenia is announced from April 21, 2025, to July 31, 2025, inclusive.

However, the ongoing analysis of the summer draft activities for 2025 already indicates that due to the slow pace of medical examinations of draftees by the healthcare system and, in many cases, unnecessary delays, it will not be possible to complete the proper examination of citizens and the process of determining whether they are subject to conscription or not by July 31.

In this context, and to eliminate any instances of unjustified deferments for citizens subject to the 2025 summer draft or the transfer of their medical examinations to the winter draft, there is a need to extend the deadline for the draft until August 15, 2025, inclusive, as noted in the justification presented by the Ministry of Defense.
