Yerevan Bus Addresses Inappropriate Actions by Drunk Passenger
Details regarding a scandalous incident in Yerevan's public transport were confirmed by Gegham Asatryan, spokesperson for Yerevan Bus LLC, in an interview with Auroranews.
"The incident occurred on July 15 at around 7:30 PM, on a vehicle servicing route 5, near the intersection of Mashtots Avenue and Pushkin Street. Two young men were performing inappropriate acts towards female passengers. The driver noticed that discussions were taking place in the bus and, understanding the nature of the complaints from the women, approached the young men without continuing the journey. He urged them to disembark, after which one of the men struck the driver. Other passengers, defending the driver and the women, also asked the young men to leave the bus. Ultimately, the driver succeeded in disembarking the two young men and continued the journey," said Asatryan.
According to Asatryan, video footage from the bus has been sent to the police.
It is noteworthy that earlier reports highlighted this scandalous event that took place in Yerevan's public transport system. A video had circulated online depicting a quarrel between a drunk passenger and other passengers, as well as the driver.
