Fire Breaks Out in One of the Houses on Azatamartikner Street in Yerevan, Injuries Reported
On July 17, at 15:26, the National Crisis Management Center received a call reporting a fire in one of the houses on Azatamartikner Street in Yerevan.
Two firefighting teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' firefighting unit in Yerevan were dispatched to the scene.
It was found that the fire had erupted in the house's corridor (approximately 25 square meters), where gas was leaking from a 3 kg gas cylinder. Additionally, one of the residents was on the roof and was unable to come down.
The rescuers brought the resident down from the roof and moved them to a safe area. They also removed the gas cylinder from the corridor and maintained a watch until the gas cylinder was emptied.
The fire was contained at 15:41 and was extinguished at 15:54. The corridor and property were damaged by the flames.
Another resident suffered injuries and was hospitalized.
