Swimmers Banned from Displaying Russian Flag During Championship

Swimmers competing under a neutral status have been prohibited from posting their country's flag on social media during the World Aquatics Championships taking place in Singapore. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

The press service of the International Swimming Federation stated, “Neither before, during, nor after the competition can they link their participation in the events with Russia or the Russian Swimming Federation. Posting flag emojis will signify a connection to a country that is considered to be in conflict. This is the precise formulation of the rules for media interaction for neutral athletes.”

It should be noted that the World Aquatics Championships is held in Singapore from July 11 to August 3.
