Child Lost While Trying to Find Family: Ministry of Internal Affairs on Missing Child Incident

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Narek Sargsyan, provided details on his Facebook page regarding the incident of a child missing in the rest area of Geghazat village.

"While playing in the rest area of Geghazat village in Ararat Province, the child got lost. In an attempt to find their family, the child walked in the opposite direction and ended up in Lanjazat village," Sargsyan stated.

Earlier, we reported that around 1:20 PM, a 4-year-old girl went missing in the rest area of Geghazat village.

According to Sargsyan, extensive search and rescue operations were conducted in the area, including in a nearby canal. "At around 6:40 PM, after more than 4 hours of searching, the 4-year-old child was found in the Lanjazat community of Ararat Province, near the riverbank. The little girl had sustained injuries. The existing scratches were the result of long walking and coming into contact with branches along the way. The child has been taken to a medical center," Sargsyan reported.

He emphasized that the child’s life is not in danger.
