A Series of Strong Magnetic Storms Expected
Magnetic storms affect atmospheric pressure, and as a result, some individuals may experience headaches, fatigue, and stress. Glavcom has prepared a forecast for magnetic storms for the next three days, based on data provided by the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC).
Geomagnetic activity is measured on a scale from 0 to 9. The planetary K-index is used for designation; if the index is 5 or higher, this indicates a strong magnetic storm.
On July 13, solar activity is expected with a K-index of 4.3 (yellow level), corresponding to weak magnetic storms. On July 14, solar activity is anticipated with a K-index of 3 (green level), also corresponding to weak magnetic storms. On July 15, solar activity is projected with a K-index of 2.7 (green level), again indicating weak magnetic storms.
It is important to note that forecasts for magnetic storms can change, as solar activity researchers update their data every three hours. Therefore, we recommend regularly monitoring for updates.
