After the War, France and the UK Will Send 50,000 Soldiers to Ukraine

French President Emmanuel Macron, during a joint press conference with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, announced that the number of Franco-British joint expeditionary forces could be increased to 50,000 troops, according to Le Figaro newspaper.

"We are increasing the number of these joint forces from brigade level to army corps level, which means up to 50,000 men who can participate in major battles," said the French president.

The Élysée Palace has stated that these forces are already playing a "significant role in organizing the 'coalition of volunteers.'" They could become a "planning center for security forces that could be deployed in Ukraine as part of a ceasefire following its signing," noted the French president's office.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the plan to send peacekeepers to Ukraine is a continuation of provoking Ukraine against Russia. "If NATO troops find themselves in Ukraine, even under a foreign flag, Russia will not accept this," the minister said.
