Trump Urges Five African Countries to Accept Migrants Deported from the U.S.

The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has urged the presidents of Liberia, Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, Mauritania, and Gabon to accept migrants whom the U.S. is deporting. This information was revealed to Reuters by two American officials familiar with the negotiations.

The plan was presented to the presidents of the five countries during a meeting at the White House on Wednesday. The White House, as well as official representatives from the five countries, has not responded to this information. It is currently unclear whether any country has agreed to Trump's administration's request.
