SATCM Reports on Inspection Results in Meat Production Facilities

The Inspectorate of Food Safety of Armenia has reported the results of inspection measures conducted at the meat production facility of the "Babik-90" cooperative located in the 4th district of Victory in Yerevan. During these measures, samples of the products available (brand name: DG) were sent for laboratory examination.

Out of the samples, only one—the "Vetchina Meat Frozen" product sample (produced on June 29, 2025)—did not meet the requirements of the Customs Union's technical regulations based on the count of mesophilic aerobic and facultative anaerobic microorganisms (MAFA). Consequently, the production function of the meat production facility concerning the "Vetchina Meat Frozen" product has been suspended. A deadline has been set for addressing the identified violations.

The "Babik-90" cooperative has been issued an order prohibiting the circulation of the batch, recalling it from the market, and destroying or withdrawing it. It is also noted that, by the decision of the head of the Food Safety Inspectorate, the production function of the meat processing facility owned by "Mit Food" LLC (located on Ohanovi Street in Yerevan) has been suspended.
