Russia Should Remain a Partner and Ally with That Country, Peskov

Moscow is convinced that Russia and Azerbaijan should remain partners and allies. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov.

“Russian diplomats are in constant contact with the Azerbaijani side and are defending the interests of detained Russians,” Peskov added.

It is noteworthy that on June 30, Igor Kartavikh, head of the editorial board of Sputnik Azerbaijan, and chief editor Evgeny Beloусов were unjustly detained in Baku and placed in custody for four months. Several other members of the editorial team, who are Azerbaijani citizens, were also detained.
