I Hope We Will No Longer Witness the Blockade of the Mother See: Aram Vardevanyan

Lawyer Aram Vardevanyan has written: "There is information circulating that we may once again witness everything that happened on June 27, 2025. In other words, there are again discussions that law enforcement may attempt to blockade our Mother See. I sincerely want to express my hope that we will never again witness such a scene.

I genuinely wish that within law enforcement, the Mother See would be regarded as a red line. My hope and desire do not stem solely from our history and values, but also from the constitutional status of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church.

According to the Criminal Procedure Code, any action to be legal must be proportional and necessary. From the standpoint of these criteria and international legal norms, any such new action at the Mother See would be considered a "capricious violation."
