Additional Tariffs to Be Imposed on Countries Supporting BRICS, Trump Warns

U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that additional 10% trade tariffs will be imposed on countries that support the political stance of BRICS. He made this announcement in a post on Truth Social on July 6.

“Any country that supports BRICS' anti-American policies will be subject to additional 10% tariffs,” wrote the White House leader.

In another publication, he noted that on July 7, the U.S. administration would begin informing other countries about the bilateral trade conditions, the tariff rates on goods supplied to the American market, or the signing of agreements.

In June, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and BRICS Sherpa Sergey Ryabkov stated in an interview with TASS that what is happening within BRICS is causing dissatisfaction not only among the U.S. President, but it also reveals the West's problem, namely its selfishness in foreign policy.
