Discussions on the Text of the Peace Agreement Between Azerbaijan and Armenia Concluded

The discussions on the draft text of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia have concluded. This was announced by Elchin Amirbekov, the special representative of the President of Azerbaijan, during an interview with Mundo Internacional magazine while on a working visit to Mexico.

Speaking about the peace process with Armenia, Amirbekov emphasized that a historic opportunity has arisen to establish stable and irreversible peace in the South Caucasus after 30 years of conflict. At the same time, he noted the issues obstructing the signing of the agreement.

These include the presence of territorial claims against Azerbaijan in the Armenian constitution, as well as the need to eliminate structures that have lost their significance, such as the Minsk Group.
