Tehran to Continue Uranium Enrichment, Says Iran's Foreign Ministry
Edita
Iran has no intention of abandoning uranium enrichment for peaceful purposes, continuing to adhere to its obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, and other countries do not have the right to restrict Tehran in this matter.
This was stated by Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht Ravanchi in a report by TASS agency. “We are a conscientious participant in the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, and based on that, we are carrying out uranium enrichment for peaceful purposes for the benefit of our country. No one can tell us what to do as long as we are following our commitments under the treaty,” Takht Ravanchi said during an interview with Germany's ARD television channel.
