Trump Nominated for Nobel Peace Prize
Pakistan has announced that it has nominated U.S. President Donald Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize, citing his decisive diplomatic intervention during the recent crisis between Pakistan and India. This was reported by Anadolu.
Islamabad noted that Trump's involvement played a crucial role in de-escalating tensions between the two nuclear-armed nations, thereby preventing a potential large-scale conflict that could have disastrous consequences for the entire region and millions of people living beyond its borders.
“In the context of increasing regional chaos, President Trump demonstrated great strategic foresight and exceptional statesmanship by actively engaging diplomatically with both Islamabad and New Delhi, which helped avert the exacerbation of the situation,” the statement said.
