Karekin II Issues Statement

There have been times when various forces have sought to limit the mission of our Church and subject it to their interests. Karekin II stated this in his message.

“Today we are experiencing similar alarming days. There is no Armenian identity without Holy Etchmiadzin, and there is no Holy Etchmiadzin without the Armenian identity. Holy Etchmiadzin is our heart and soul, our past and present, our future,” emphasized the Catholicos of All Armenians.

According to him, the anti-church campaign unleashed by the authorities poses a serious threat to national unity, the internal stability of the country, and strikes directly at the Armenian statehood. “Instead of efforts to unite in the face of numerous challenges our country is facing, painful actions aimed at dividing society continue,” highlighted the Catholicos of All Armenians.
