Shahramanyan is still being questioned at the Investigative Committee: lawyer

The information circulating in the media regarding the former president of Artsakh, Samvel Shahramanyan, being arrested does not correspond to reality. This was stated by Shahramanyan's lawyer, Roman Yeritsyan, in an interview with 24News.

It should be noted that former president Samvel Shahramanyan is currently being questioned at the Investigative Committee.

He is being interrogated within the framework of a criminal case initiated under the articles of 'Military negligence' and 'Surrendering or abandoning means of combat to the opponent.' Shahramanyan has the status of a witness.

It should be emphasized that the criminal case was initiated back in 2023, and only two years later is Samvel Shahramanyan being questioned for the first time, whereas he should have been among the first to be interrogated.

Additionally, we inform that the case was initiated based on statements made by Samvel Babayan during a public television broadcast and a report submitted on October 6.
