Russian Hacking Network Targets Prime Minister Pashinyan

The Russian hacking network "Matryoshka" has begun targeting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan for the first time, spreading disinformation in both Armenian and foreign languages. This was reported by The Insider.

The content disseminated through bots accuses Pashinyan of being allegedly the "most corrupt leader" in the Middle East and of "covering up" the Armenian Genocide. Some publications even claim that he takes "powerful sedatives," referencing non-existent sources.

The videos are primarily being circulated on X and TikTok platforms, often using the names of major international and local media outlets (e.g., Euronews, France 24, Yeni Şafak). According to the Bot Blocker Project, fabricated and partially edited videos have been utilized.

The Insider confirms that the bot posts belong to the "Matryoshka" network but does not publish specific links to avoid spreading disinformation. According to the publication, this is a unique instance of thematic targeting by the "Matryoshka" network related to Armenia, which has attracted specialists' attention.
