Peskov on the Arrest of Samvel Karapetyan

The Kremlin is closely monitoring the situation regarding the arrest of Samvel Karapetyan, the owner of the Tashir Group (citizen of Armenia and Russia).

This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian President. “Of course, we are watching. For us, he is a citizen of Russia. We do not want to interfere in Armenia's internal affairs, but we are monitoring everything related to the Russian citizen very carefully,” Peskov told reporters.

He mentioned that, if necessary, Russia is ready to provide Samvel Karapetyan with all the assistance required.

It is worth reminding that Karapetyan was arrested on June 18. He has been charged with calls to seize power. By court decision, he has been detained for two months.
