Abbas Araghchi Issues a Statement
The Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has commented on the meeting with the foreign ministers of EU member states in Geneva.
"The Americans have repeatedly signaled the need for serious negotiations. We have no connection with America as an accomplice to these crimes," he said. According to Araghchi, Iran does not want to engage in negotiations with anyone in the context of Israeli attacks. "No rational approach would allow us to negotiate with anyone about our missile capabilities. Our discussions with the Europeans focus on nuclear and regional issues. Our missile capacities are unique and serve a defensive purpose," he added.
Araghchi also highlighted that the targets of the country’s armed forces are military and economic centers, not residential areas, buildings, or hospitals. "I know how meticulously our missile strikes are planned and how strictly ethical norms and international law are observed during military operations," he stated.
