Emergency Situations Ministry Reveals Details on Damage from Strong Winds
Starting from 16:10 on June 15, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received reports at the Aragatsotn regional crisis management center about damage caused by strong winds in various locations in the city of Aparan and the community of Lusagyugh. According to the ministry's spokesperson, Narek Sargsyan, roofs of buildings were damaged, vehicles were affected, and trees were uprooted.
The Ministry has called in personnel from the Aragatsotn, Ararat, and Kotayk regional emergency departments for response efforts. According to preliminary data from the Ministry of Health, there are four injured individuals who have received first aid.
As of 21:00, damage reports indicate that 43 roofs were affected, along with 22 passenger cars, and 3 trucks. In addition, 21 trees and 17 electric poles were downed, along with 3 solar power stations.
The operational groups and fire-rescue units of the regional emergency department are attending to calls in accordance with established protocols. A total of 137 rescue workers have been deployed to assist with the response.
