Aggression Forced Iran to Withdraw: Araqchi
Julya
Israeli actions have compelled Iran to abandon diplomatic negotiations regarding a nuclear agreement with the United States, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi announced on Friday.
“We were on a diplomatic path, consulting with our Omani partners about participating in a new round of negotiations with U.S. representatives. However, the aggression of the 'Zionist regime' forced us to withdraw from the diplomatic route,” he said during a phone call with his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
It should be noted that Iran has announced it will not participate in the next scheduled negotiations in Oman regarding its nuclear program with the U.S., which are set to take place on June 15.
