One of the Hospitalized Due to Explosion Underwent Surgery: Karen Tonoyan
“We received the news in the morning, and we were immediately prepared. Three citizens were transferred to the St. Gregory the Illuminator Medical Center,” stated Karen Tonoyan, head of the Emergency and Urgent Medical Assistance Department of the center, in an interview with NEWS.am, regarding the explosion that occurred in a residential building in Jambarak.
“The first patient who was transferred was assessed as being in serious, unstable condition and was immediately taken to surgery. The surgery has since been completed, and the patient's condition is relatively stable; they have been transferred to the intensive care unit. The other two patients were taken to the hospital's emergency department, where their conditions were also assessed as serious and they were transferred to the intensive care unit for further monitoring. Today, they will stay in the intensive care unit, and depending on their conditions, planned examinations and interventions will be conducted,” said Tonoyan.
