Major Fire in Iran Leads to Casualties
A fire has broken out in the chemical and fuel processing port of Dayr, located in the southern Bushehr province of Iran. Iranian news agencies report that the fire started at a dock belonging to the petrochemical complex. The state-run IRNA news agency has reported that three people have died as a result of the fire that ignited in a methanol storage facility, while another ten individuals have been injured.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and emergency services and specialists are currently working at the scene. It is noteworthy that Dayr Port is one of the region's key hubs for the processing and export of petrochemical products. Local authorities have stated that the fire has been contained; however, the assessment of damages and investigation into the incident are ongoing.
