«Do You Remember the Famous Joke?» Serzh Sargsyan on Regime Change

Third President Serzh Sargsyan has commented on why the mayor of Masis, Davit Hambardzumyan, was nominated as the Prime Minister candidate in the no-confidence motion initiated by the "Honorary Present" faction in the National Assembly.

"Davit Hambardzumyan deserves it; he is capable of fighting," he stated.

When asked if nominating such a candidate was a gift to the "Civil Contract" faction, Sargsyan retorted, "Do you remember the famous joke? Therefore, whoever we nominate, there would be a clear strong backlash. Yes, we are not seeking power. This struggle is not for power, but for regime change; isn't that clear? Whoever wants, just let it be regime change," Sargsyan said.

In response to the question about not being able to come out of the mud but instead falling into the swamp, he noted, "No, this is not mud; it’s a swamp."
