We will say – it's not us, it's this bureaucrat who has put himself in the place of an ass: Avinyan
The advisor to the mayor, Kamo Areyan, announced that a letter consisting of 6 points was sent to the government and the Water Committee with the mayor's signature, proposing to reconsider the contractual relations with the "Veolia Water" company.
According to him, the last point referred to the clarification of the property domain of service provision. He stated that the list of properties leased to "Veolia Water" in 2016 was defective. "There are numerous cases in the capital where the issue concerns properties outside the service domain of 'Veolia Water', as they are absent from the list. This also applies to newly built buildings and the pump stations installed there. Due to the developers' fault, the pump has not been handed over to 'Veolia Water' or the state and has become a headache and a subject of dispute among residents," he said, adding that the municipality bears no blame in this matter.
In response to Areyan, Mayor Tigran Avinyan noted that issues related to sewage are being presented by distorting information. "I am convinced that this is done intentionally," he said. For more details, see the video.
