The Director General for Iranians Abroad in Iran's Foreign Ministry, Alireza Hashemi-Rajan, has criticized the entry ban imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump on several countries, including Iranian citizens. He stated that this decision demonstrates 'deep hostility' towards Iranians and violates fundamental principles of international law, including the principle of non-discrimination and respect for fundamental human rights.

It is worth noting that earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump signed a proclamation prohibiting the entry of citizens from 12 countries into the United States, including Iran.
