Samvel Babayan Appeals to the Investigative Committee regarding Vahram Khorkhoruni's Case

The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports that former Minister of Defense of Artsakh, Samvel Babayan, has appealed to the head of the Investigative Committee, Artur Poghosyan, at the end of May to initiate criminal proceedings.

Our sources within the law enforcement system had limited information about Babayan's appeal, only noting that it pertains to certain individuals and the case of Deputy Minister of Defense Vahram Khorkhoruni, who was shot dead on December 10, 1998.

The Investigative Committee confirmed our information regarding the report, stating: 'We have received the report and are conducting procedural actions.'

It is worth noting that the Investigative Committee is currently intensively examining another criminal case initiated based on a report submitted by Babayan, related to official negligence and the transfer of weapons and ammunition to the adversary during the Azerbaijani attack in September 2023. Both Samvel Babayan and Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan are being questioned in this case.
