Ukrainian Armed Forces Hit Russian Iskander Launch Systems for the First Time

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have targeted an area in the Bryansk region, where Russian missile units are stationed, successfully striking the launch systems of the Iskander missile defense system, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Target objectives were successfully hit. One Russian missile launcher was destroyed, while two others were likely damaged," the statement read.

This marks the first instance where the Ukrainian Armed Forces have managed to hit the Iskander operational-tactical complex.

It is reported that this involves a unit from the 26th missile brigade, which is based in the Klintsy area of the Bryansk region. According to Ukrainian sources, the unit has "attempted to strike at one of the Ukrainian settlements, likely Kyiv."
