PSG's Head Coach on Champions League Final Victory

PSG's head coach Luis Enrique explained how his team managed to achieve a resounding victory over Milan's Inter in the Champions League final, winning 5-0. 'The Parisians secured their long-awaited first victory in the competition. PSG had never won the Champions League, and I tried to reduce the pressure on the team before the match. Inter is a very strong opponent, but we pressed excellently. Each of our players has improved this season. We prepared well for the match and were able to press with high intensity. Ousmane Dembélé constantly put pressure on Inter's defenders and goalkeeper,' Enrique said, adding, 'Finally, we did it; it feels fantastic.'

It is worth noting that PSG's head coach Luis Enrique dedicated the victory in the Champions League for the 2024/2025 season to his daughter, Xana, who passed away from osteosarcoma in 2019 when she was just nine years old. Immediately after the final whistle, as the celebrations began, Enrique changed his outfit and stepped onto the pitch wearing a jersey with his daughter's name on it. 'Xana is not physically here, but she is always with me and enjoys the time we spend together,' Enrique stated.

Let us remind you that in the final of the Champions League 2024/25 season, French club PSG crushed Milan's Inter 5-0 at Munich's Allianz Arena, winning the most prestigious trophy in European club football for the first time in history. This is the first time that a winning team in a major European competition final has a 5-goal advantage. Earlier, it was reported that Inter's president and coach commented on the defeat in the Champions League final.
