Peskov Comments on Macron's Wife Slapping Incident

Russia's Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov does not consider it appropriate to interfere in the family matters of French President Emmanuel Macron, but he believes that if a wife slaps her husband, there must be a reason behind it.

“I am convinced that it would not be right for us to comment on the Macron family's affairs. On the other hand, if a wife slaps her husband, she never does it for no reason. But I repeat, this is not our business,” Peskov said in an interview with Pavel Zarubin of Rossiya 1.

It is worth noting that the incident occurred on May 25 during the French president's visit to Vietnam. Footage captured by journalists shows the moment as they disembark from the plane, where Brigitte Macron sharply pushes her husband with her hand. It appears as if she has slapped him.
