Major and Tragic Car Accident: There Are Injured and a Fatality

On May 29, at 01:10, the Lori regional rescue service's crisis management center received a call reporting a traffic accident on the Vanadzor-Step'anavan highway. An operational group from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, along with a firefighting and rescue unit, was dispatched to the scene.

It was discovered that a 'VAZ' branded vehicle had collided with a 'Mercedes-Benz' truck parked on the sidewalk near house number 60 on Marshal Baghramyan Street in Vanadzor. One passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Rescuers extracted another passenger from the 'VAZ' vehicle and brought them closer to an ambulance. The latter, along with the driver, was hospitalized at a medical center. Two more passengers were also hospitalized.

The rescuers conducted road cleaning operations at the site.
