In the Netherlands, cannabis has been discovered in Haribo gummy candies. This was reported by the Hart van Nederland television channel. It has been reported that several individuals felt unwell after consuming cola-flavored gummy bears. The affected individuals contacted law enforcement authorities.

The Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority announced that it has conducted an investigation and found cannabis in the gummy bears. Following this, the agency immediately contacted representatives of Haribo.

The drugs were found in candy packages weighing 1 kilogram, with an expiration date of January 2026. Haribo has urged consumers not to eat any gummies they have already purchased and announced the confiscation of unsold products.

It remains unclear how the cannabis ended up in the product.

Additionally, it has been reported that customs officers at St. Petersburg airport arrested a 38-year-old German citizen whose luggage contained gummy bears filled with cannabis. A criminal case has been initiated against the foreign national for the article of "Drug Trafficking."
