Strong Magnetic Storm Expected
Scientists from the Institute of Space Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IKI RAN) and the Solar-Earth Physics Institute of the Siberian Branch have warned about magnetic storms caused by solar flares. According to their predictions, the Earth will experience geomagnetic disturbances on May 28, 2025, which could affect weather-sensitive individuals and the performance of high-precision electronics.
People sensitive to weather, especially those with chronic heart conditions, hypertension, or neurological disorders, may experience headaches, fluctuations in blood pressure, insomnia, or fatigue. Approximately 70% of hypertensive crises and heart attacks occur during storms.
Additionally, geomagnetic disturbances can disrupt the operation of satellites, GPS navigation, radio communication, and electrical grids. Operators of high-precision technology are advised to prepare for possible disruptions from May 28 to 30.
