Mass Drone Attack Occurs in Russia
During the night, Russia's air defense systems shot down 110 Ukrainian drones in various regions of Russia. This information was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
"From midnight to 7:00 AM Moscow time on May 25, the standby air defense systems detected and destroyed 110 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles," the statement said.
According to the military department's explanation, 16 drones were shot down in the Tula region, while 14 were over the Bryansk and Kaluga regions. Thirteen drones were neutralized over Moscow and Tver regions, and ten over Belgorod and Kursk regions.
Moreover, eight drones were shot down in the Oryol region, seven in Crimea, two in the Smolensk region, and one each in the Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, and Novgorod regions.
It is worth noting that on the early morning of February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a decision to conduct a special military operation against Ukraine, citing requests for assistance from the self-proclaimed Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics. Military actions have continued to this day.
Additionally, there has been no public statement from the Ukrainian side regarding the airstrike that took place during the night.
