Conspiracy Against Erdogan: Several Arrests Made

Turkish authorities have arrested over three dozen police officers on suspicion of participating in a conspiracy against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. According to reports, this conspiracy against Erdogan is allegedly orchestrated by Turkish social activist Fethullah Gülen.

The Istanbul prosecutor's office conducted an operation against the banned group, referred to in Turkey as the "Fethullah Terrorist Organization" (FETÖ). Out of 63 military personnel suspected of involvement, 56 have been detained, with 24 of them holding the ranks of corporal and sergeant.

The arrest of more than 30 police officers reflects Erdogan's ongoing campaign against his adversary, Fethullah Gülen, whom he accuses of being the mastermind behind plots to overthrow him, as reported by gazeta.ru.

In his first interview with Al Jazeera after taking office, Erdogan stated that he would continue to combat the supporters of the movement, which he claims poses a threat to the national security of the country.
