Strong Earthquake in Greece

A strong earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale has been registered near the shores of the Greek island of Crete. This was reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
The epicenter of the underground tremors was located 74 kilometers north of the city of Heraklion, which has a population of around 140,000. The focus was at a depth of 15 kilometers.
There are currently no reports of casualties or damage. A tsunami warning has not been issued.
