U.S. President Donald Trump is seeking to resolve the Ukraine conflict for the interests of his country. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a live broadcast on Sputnik.

"He has said this, that this is his goal—to resolve the situation that has arisen in Ukraine, and that is why he is doing this. He is doing this for the interests of his country and his political campaign, his political career," said Zakharova.

The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs dismissed allegations against Trump that he is helping Moscow or is even alongside it. According to her, the American leader has "literally written on his forehead: 'Let's make America great again.'"
