AruSyak Julhakyan Responds to Robert Kocharyan's Statement
Yesterday, Robert Kocharyan accused the authorities of transferring $100 million from the Armenian General Benevolent Union to the state budget and 'eating' that money as part of his 'Corruption Vegetable' operation. This was stated by AruSyak Julhakyan, a member of the 'Civil Contract' faction, on her Facebook page.
"Let me remind the beloved leader of the 'Armenia' faction that in 2021, at the initiative of the same 'Armenia' faction members, a commission was formed in the National Assembly to investigate the use of funds collected by the foundation and transferred to the state budget of the Republic of Armenia. We held meetings for six months, inviting various officials. And what? Nothing :) To this day, that commission has not even provided a report. Where are the abuses raised by Kocharyan? I am confident that our media, concerned about the public's right to be informed, will direct this question to Kocharyan's MPs. After all, what did they reveal within the framework of the commission's work?" wrote the parliamentarian.
